Rangel to step down from key post in Congress: report
New York Democrat Charles Rangel, admonished last week by an ethics panel, will give up the powerful chairmanship of the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee in the House of Representatives, NBC reported on Tuesday.
The political world was shocked to find out that a Democrat was caught taking bribes. They were not shocked to find that the Democrat was taking bribes. Everyone knows that all Democrats take bribes. They were shocked because they thought that all the members of the senate and the congress had taken the class on hiding evidence of bribes.
One of the members of the House ethics committee was quoted off the record as saying "How are the rest of us supposed to get away with taking bribes if Congressmen like Rangel are that sloppy about hiding it from the public? This might cause a real investigation from a law enforcement organization. A real investigation from a real law enforcement agency could give out real jail time. The House ethics committee is well known for giving a standard reprimand every time a politician is caught taking a bribe. No matter how many times a politician gets caught."
The onion.com was quoted as saying that if I "ever attempt to write a humorous article again, they will have my literary license revoked."
