Mortgage Planning?

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/06/business/economy/06gret.html
Why Treasury Needs a Plan B for Mortgages

Why does the government need a Plan B? They don't have a Plan A. They don't even have a clue as to what is going on? They still don't realize that they created this problem in the first place.

Back when it was considered racist for minority people to not own homes, all banks were forced to create NINJA Loans (No Income, No Job or Assets). With the usual government far seeing wisdom, this created the sub prime meltdown that is currently causing all banks to go under (except the ones who bribed officials to get bailout money).

This article claims that the current government program to help the defaulting borrowers is not working. Which is no surprise. This is a government sponsored program after all. And we all know the government is well know for being incapable of doing anything right. Except for voting to raise their salaries.

However, the author of this article seems to think that there is something the government can do to fix the problem. Of course there is. And since no government official was ever rewarded for doing a job correctly, any changes the government will make will only make things worse instead of better.
