Imperial Capital Group tried to sell their stock for their IPO. Sales were sluggish, so they dropped the price of their stock. Sales were still sluggish, so they dropped their IPO.

A new business is trying to raise capital to expand their business. In the midst of our current economy recovery (for everything except jobs, homes and businsses) nobody wants to take a chance with a new company? L.A. wants to double red-light camera program: safety measure or revenue generator?

While Mayor Villaraigosa (when he can be bothered to stay in Los Angeles) and the city council waste money on the usual bureaucratic boondoggles, they are considering adding more red-light traffic cameras.

The red-light cameras are are a great aid to the city.

Red-light cameras help the economy by causing accidents (people slam on brakes to avoid tickets, and then get rear ended by people who didn't expect the fast stop) which require repairs.

Red-light cameras help balance the budget, by charging outrageous fines for tickets. Current ticket fees are $500 and growing. At this rate, traffic tickets will soon cost more than used cars.

The buffoons who run the city of Los Angeles claim that this will allow police officers to perform other duties than issuing speeding tickets. What the buffoons fail to mention is that the city of Los Angeles is so short of funds, that they may soon stop pursuing any crime that doesn't have a fine attached to it.

Obama to Dems: We must 'finish the job' on health care

President Obama sought to rally his party on Wednesday as it heads into a potentially difficult election year, urging fellow Democrats to remember why they ran for office in the first place and to "finish the job" on health-care reform and other tough issues.

As far as I can tell, based on what Barack Hussein Obama has said and done, anything said on the campaign trail can be completely ignored. It was only said to get elected. And the courts have ruled that no politician can be bound by anything he said while trying to get elected. In other words, lying to the public to get elected is honorable and moral and legal.

Even if any politician actually ran for office because he wanted to do something specific, there is so much corruption that all politicians end up lusting for power and bribes.

... Obama highlighted the accomplishments of the Democratic-controlled Congress to date and said his administration's policies have helped prevent another Great Depression from taking hold.

Yup. The stimulus / bailout (welfare for the wealthy) that Barack Hussein Obama helped pass has worked magnificently to prevent the Great Depression. The skyrocketing unemployment, the skyrocketing home foreclosures and the skyrocketing business failures is proof positive that the Great Depression has been prevented.

"So many of us campaigned on the idea that we're going to change this health-care system" Obama said. "We've got to finish the job on health care. We've go to finish the job on regulatory reform. We've got to finish the job, even though it's hard."

The only thing Barack Hussein Obama will finish is the hope for the United States to recover from the Great Depression we are just starting into.

Iran Says It Sent Animals Into Space

Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said the space program was specifically for peaceful purposes and Iran would not tolerate “any unpeaceful use of space by any country,” the official IRNA news agency said.
