California Needs To Raise Money. Why Not Sell Hollywood Bowl For Use As City Dump.

High bid for O.C. Fairground called too low

I guess the bid for the O.C. Fairground is $20 billion too low.

Let me think about this. If you own a business (something no politician has ever done) and you are having financial difficulty (something no politician ever has-they just vote themselves raises) and you want to keep your business going, what would you do?

If you are an individual with a business, you economize. You let some of the staff go. You work longer hours. You reduce pay. You do what it takes to keep the business running.

If you are a politician, you give yourself a raise (this is hard work after all), you sell bonds (until you can't sell any more), you raise taxes (until there is nobody left who can afford to pay), and you sell everything you own (O.C. Fairgrounds, ...).

The politicians that can't print more money (only the Fed can and does print way too much money), think that selling all the assets (O.C. Fairgrounds, ...) you have this year, will tide you over for next year. But what happens when next year comes around?

You can panic again.

Or maybe you do what comes natural to all criminals. Steal the property back that you just sold. The government has the right of eminent domain, which means they can steal any property they want and claim it is for the public good. In which case the can start selling whatever they want, steal it back, and sell it again.

Maybe not such a good idea. If this happens too frequently, the public might catch on and stop buying the same property over and over again.

But not to worry. I am sure the criminal elite (politicians) will come up with some other plan that will work just as well to fix the budgetary shortfall.

Is now the time to mention that the criminal elite (politicians) are getting into the protection racket? Threatening early release of criminals if they don't get the funding they want from some other source?
