California Assembly advances bill to ban carrying unloaded guns

Citing safety concerns, the Assembly passed a bill Tuesday that would make it illegal to openly carry a gun in public, even if it is unloaded.

Yup.

How can a rapist, a mugger, a bank robber, or a murderer ever be sure of their safety, if the average citizen is allowed to carry weapons? Allowing innocent victims to carry weapons and protect themselves from criminals makes the streets of California an unsafe working environment for your average criminal. And considering that in a budget saving move by legislators to release violent felons early and without oversight, allowing innocent victims to carry weapons, even unloaded weapons, sends the wrong message. How can California ever become the sanctuary state for criminals it hopes to be if it allows innocent victims to protect themselves?

Maybe it is time for the criminals to start their own union. That way, the criminals will have a dedicated organization standing up for their rights. While politicians normally tend to protect criminals rights, they are not as consistent about it as they should be. If the criminals can reward the legislators every time the legislators take a stand that protects the criminals rights over the rights of innocent victims, then we would have a more uniform standard of protecting criminals and harassing innocent victims and potential victims. In fact, a criminals union would be the one union that all politicians could join without compromising their morals. I am sure that all the violent criminals would be willing to allow all the non-violent criminals (politicians) to join. Or maybe all politicians would be honorary members because of their pro crime and anti victim and anti legal citizen activities.

Maybe even a new motto.

Commit a crime, become a politician.

What would you think if a long-time gun control advocate ended up shooting someone? Might the word “hypocrite” come to mind?

You are worthless!

Well. Not completely worthless. Just mostly worthless. All you are capable of doing is voting a politician into office, and paying taxes.

You are almost worthless as a voter. Politicians must waste most of their bribe money running for office. Most of their money is spent on advertising campaigns. There are no guarantees that an advertising campaign will work. At the moment, politicians are still not allowed to pay for votes. So maybe that is the next reform they need to institute. But until that happens, politicians are not able to enjoy the fruits of their betrayal of the voters.

You are almost worthless as a taxpayer. Based on past, current and future legislation, almost 50% of the slaves citizens owe no taxes. With the constantly escalating expenses of government and constantly increasing taxes, the percentage of slaves citizens paying taxes is continuing to drop. Which means that as your ability to pay taxes goes down, so does your value to the government.

So the only people of any value are politicians. Which is why they work so hard to exempt themselves from all the laws they pass. Which is why they need guns to protect themselves. Which is why the slaves citizens must be denied the right to defend themselves. If the slaves citizens ever get the right to protect themselves, they might decide that they have value, and they just might overthrow their rightful overseers and masters.

The Starbucks coffee chain announced today that it will continue letting customers openly wear unloaded handguns in its coffee shops.

Evidently in states where it is legal to openly carry a weapon, Starbucks is willing to let customers openly carry a weapon.

Last month, the Brady campaign sent a letter to Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz urging him to reverse the company's policy. The campaign noted that three Starbucks employees were shot and killed at a Washington, D.C., outlet in 1997 during a robbery attempt.

I will never understand why allowing gun carrying criminals to come in and shoot innocent victims is supposed to be an argument for gun control.

There are a few things you have to know about gun control. Gun control laws ONLY take away guns from law abiding citizens. Gun control laws turn law abiding citizens into potential victims for criminals.

Criminals, by definition don't obey the law. So no matter how many laws you pass outlawing guns, or murder, or kidnapping or robbery, or ... the criminals will not obey the law. So the only effect of gun control laws, is to give the criminals a safer work environment.

Is that really the future we want for our children and grandchildren? Do we want to make them safer prey for the criminal class? Or do we want them to learn to protect themselves from criminals?

Cities "generally are not liable for failing to protect individuals against crime," Woolard (Judge Charlotte Woolard of San Francisco Superior Court) said.

Slaves Citizens of this city (state, country) are not allowed to protect themselves. Why else would the government work so hard on preventing slaves citizens from owning weapons of self defense?

This city (state, country) is not required to protect the slaves citizens.

What this means, is that rather than being slaves citizens, the government wants everybody to be victims.

Why?

The government wants to brainwash you into believing that only the government can protect you from crime. If you believe this hogwash, then they hope you will also fall for the need to have a bigger police state force. Bigger police state force means more taxes. Bigger police state force means bigger government to manage the police state force. Bigger government means the power hungry politicians can lord it over the rest of us and force us to do their bidding.

Which is why the government does everything it can to encourage crime.

After all, it would be a horrible thing if criminals actually had to worry that an innocent victim might be able to fight back.

In the police state known as Kalifornia, it is good to be reminded how the police feel about the citizens.

It should come as no surprise that the media, police, government officials, politicians, ... feel the same way. The courts have already ruled that the government is under no obligation to protect any individual. And once the prohibition of gun ownership is complete, the American people will be the slaves that the ruling classes have always wanted.

If you can't own a gun, then you are not allowed to protect yourself. If the police are not required to protect you, then you are fair game for the criminals. If you don't have the freedom to protect yourself, you have no freedom at all. I don't think that is what the founding fathers had in mind when they were talking about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Without the right to protect yourself (which includes owning a gun), you have no right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (and certainly no ability to enforce that right).

When seconds count, the police are just minutes away.

Don't think of it as "gun control", think of it as "victim disarmament".

"Gun control" is a job-safety program for criminals.
