France Tramples Rights Of Religious Cults

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100519/ap_on_re_eu/eu_france_forbidding_the_veil/print
Women protest as French Cabinet gets veil ban bill
The bill is to go before parliament in July, and despite the acrimonious debate that is sure to come, there is little doubt the measure will become law. Sarkozy, who says such veils oppress women, wants a law banning them on the books as soon as possible.

The ban on facial veils is a horrible restriction of freedom.

How are well respected radical Muslim terrorists supposed to be able to walk down the street wearing suicide bombs if they are unable to wear concealing clothing? Why if France keeps this up, they may soon ban criminals from wearing ski masks when committing crimes. France might even ban the K.K.K. from wearing their completely concealing white robes when attacking people of other races. How will other religious and criminal organizations feel if they are unable to hide their identity?

This restriction of criminal's freedom must be stopped. Now. Before it is too late. Before criminals lose all their hard fought for privileges.

Jerry Brown Soft On Crime.

http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-acorn2-2010apr02,0,497720.story
California probe clears ACORN of criminal activity
Atty. Gen. Jerry Brown cites the advocacy group's objectionable behavior but says it does not warrant legal action by authorities.

California Atty. Gen. Jerry Brown said in a report Thursday that the community organizing group ACORN engaged in "highly inappropriate behavior" in the state but violated no criminal law.

California Attorney General (and governor hopeful) Jerry Brown just finished an investigation where he whitewashed the criminal activity of A.C.O.R.N.
The report said ACORN probably violated state civil laws by disposing of thousands of pages containing confidential information about employees, members and other individuals in a trash bin, failing to file a 2007 state tax return and engaging in four instances of possible voter registration fraud in San Diego.

ACORN also was unable to document how it used charitable funds raised for the victims of Southern California wildfires, the report said. But the probe "determined that ACORN spent more than it likely raised for the fire victims, and therefore further action into this issue is not a wise use of the state's resources," the report said.

Evidently, when a private party tries to gather evidence of organized criminal activity, this is a more serious crime deserving more serious punishment than defrauding the federal and state government and disobeying multiple laws. Specially when the organization you are going after is funded by the federal government. Since the federal government is above the law, any organization funded by the federal government automatically gets the same benefits. Therefore anybody trying to catch government employees (or government funded organizations) breaking the law are committing a serious crime and the whistle blowers will face the full might of the federal government.

Drug Addict Gets Justice American Style.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2010/03/10/MNG81CDOTU.DTL
Crime lab fallout: Drug defendants go free
His was one of 25 drug cases dismissed at the Hall of Justice because of questions surrounding the police crime lab and a former technician there who is suspected of stealing and using drug evidence.

Who will watch the watchers?

Deborah Madden, the criminologist who was working in the drug lab was having a high old time testing drugs the old fashioned way. With her tongue, her nose and with her syringe.

Unfortunately this kind of testing is not acceptable in a court of law. Or in a drug rehabilitation center where the former criminologist is now working. At trying to get rehabilitated from drug use.

25 drug cases were just dismissed because of her behavior.

Fortunately for former criminalist Deborah Madden, the police are investigating this. So far no charges have been filed, and former criminalist Deborah Madden expects to get her full pension for retiring after performing her job so well.

Starbucks Decides To Obey The Law. Liberals Upset.

http://www.aolnews.com/nation/article/facing-gun-issue-starbucks-throws-up-its-hands/19381679
Facing Gun Issue, Starbucks Throws Up Its Hands
The Starbucks coffee chain announced today that it will continue letting customers openly wear unloaded handguns in its coffee shops.

Evidently in states where it is legal to openly carry a weapon, Starbucks is willing to let customers openly carry a weapon.
Last month, the Brady campaign sent a letter to Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz urging him to reverse the company's policy. The campaign noted that three Starbucks employees were shot and killed at a Washington, D.C., outlet in 1997 during a robbery attempt.

I will never understand why allowing gun carrying criminals to come in and shoot innocent victims is supposed to be an argument for gun control.

There are a few things you have to know about gun control. Gun control laws ONLY take away guns from law abiding citizens. Gun control laws turn law abiding citizens into potential victims for criminals.

Criminals, by definition don't obey the law. So no matter how many laws you pass outlawing guns, or murder, or kidnapping or robbery, or ... the criminals will not obey the law. So the only effect of gun control laws, is to give the criminals a safer work environment.

Is that really the future we want for our children and grandchildren? Do we want to make them safer prey for the criminal class? Or do we want them to learn to protect themselves from criminals?

San Francisco Is Sanctuary City For Murderers (And Other Criminals).

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2010/02/24/BA0N1C63N7.DTL&type=printable
Judge tosses sanctuary suit in S.F. killings
Cities "generally are not liable for failing to protect individuals against crime," Woolard (Judge Charlotte Woolard of San Francisco Superior Court) said.

Slaves Citizens of this city (state, country) are not allowed to protect themselves. Why else would the government work so hard on preventing slaves citizens from owning weapons of self defense?

This city (state, country) is not required to protect the slaves citizens.

What this means, is that rather than being slaves citizens, the government wants everybody to be victims.

Why?

The government wants to brainwash you into believing that only the government can protect you from crime. If you believe this hogwash, then they hope you will also fall for the need to have a bigger police state force. Bigger police state force means more taxes. Bigger police state force means bigger government to manage the police state force. Bigger government means the power hungry politicians can lord it over the rest of us and force us to do their bidding.

Which is why the government does everything it can to encourage crime.

After all, it would be a horrible thing if criminals actually had to worry that an innocent victim might be able to fight back.

California Launches Plan To Reduce Prison And Non-Prison Population Simultaneously.

California launches plan to cut prison population

As cost-saving measures, the number of parole violators returned behind bars will be cut and low-risk offenders will not be regularly supervised by a parole agent.
"It is not going to compromise public safety," Schwarzenegger said in a Sacramento speech.

http://blogs.laweekly.com/ladaily/crime/lily-burks-alleged-killer-char/
Lily Burk's Alleged Killer Charged with New Felony Counts at Preliminary Hearing

Low-risk offender Charlie Samuel, with previous convictions for petty theft and robbery, is now on trial for Lily Burk's murder.

The State of California which has up until now proved themselves incompetent at balancing the budget are now looking forward to proving themselves incompetent at protecting the public from criminals.

Since trials can be lengthy and expensive, many prosecutors accept plea bargains to get convictions and clear the dockets. For example, if a man is accused of attempted murder, he may plea bargain down to harassment or some other crime with jail time. What it also means, is that this potential murderer, on paper, looks like a low-risk offender.

On the other hand, if you believe the claptrap nonsense that gets spouted whenever a politician opens his mouth, then there really are low-risk offenders in prison. What would real low-risk offenders be? Jaywalkers? Prostitutes? Marijuana smokers? ??? If so, then the State of California has been wasting millions if not billions of dollars putting people in prison who are not a threat to the citizens.

No matter how you look at it, the State of California is incompetent and incapable of doing the right thing. Which means the crime rate will go up, and your life will be in danger when these criminals are released in the streets of our cities.

California's Criminal Catch And Release Program Starts Shortly.

http://www.dailybreeze.com/latestnews/ci_14224599
State budget-mandated inmate releases alarm law enforcement officials

The Berkeley-based nonprofit Prison Law Office believes the crime rate in California is not high enough. So, claiming that California prisons are too crowded and that it is unfair for criminals to be punished too harshly for what they have done, the Berkeley-based nonprofit Prison Law Office have filed a lawsuit to get California to release prisoners early.

The Berkeley-based nonprofit Prison Law Office has been very successful in protecting criminals rights. The State of California will soon be releasing almost 6,000 hardened criminals into the Los Angeles area. These criminals getting early release will be set loose in the wilds of Los Angeles. No supervision. No notification to victims or witnesses or law enforcement agencies. These criminals will have no homes to go to, and no jobs to go to. While these criminals may have been convicted of lesser crimes, they probably will have plea bargained their crimes down from major crimes (which is how our legal system works).

So please remember the next time you get mugged or stabbed or shot, that this is the State of California's way of balancing the budget AND protecting criminals rights. And if someone is killed, then the State of California is also doing their part in reducing Global Warming, by reducing the number of carbon dioxide emitters. After all, you don't want to stand in front of the wheels of progress.
