Friday's Jobs Report: Unemployment Bumps 10%?
The government keeps talking about 9.x% unemployment.
I wish I knew what country they are talking about. It doesn't seem to be the one I live in.
But I suppose that if you ignore anyone who has given up looking for a job, and anyone who has given up looking for a full time job, and anyone who has accepted a temporary job, then maybe the number is close to 9% or whatever the government happens to claim is the number at the time that is convenient to them.
But if you are going to ignore all those in your calculation, why not just ignore all the people you feel will be employed in the near future, and you can bring the unemployment rates down to what ever number you choose to make up.
