Climategate U-turn as scientist at centre of row admits: There has been no global warming since 1995
The academic at the centre of the ‘Climategate’ affair, whose raw data is crucial to the theory of climate change, has admitted that he has trouble ‘keeping track’ of the information.
It has been speculated that the reason Professor Phil Jones refused the Freedom of Information requests for his information is because he didn't keep the data on which his "Global Warming" hypothesis was based. Don't worry about the missing data. It appears that losing the information on which a scientific theory has been based is adequate proof for dictators and other totalitarian leaders around the world to demand destruction of the economy and lifestyle of the more successful countries.
I just wish Climategate had been happening when I was in school. I like the idea that I could claim that I had the data, and my results are correct but since the data is gone, I deserve a passing grade anyway.
But if you expect the next generation to be capable of avoiding any smooth talking messiah who asks them to drink the cool-aid, you better teach them what science really is. You better teach them that without science we would still be living in caves and painting on walls to get a better life. You better teach them to think and question.
