City Of Los Angeles All Wet.

http://www.dailynews.com/news/ci_14477588?source=rss
Less than half of 30 debris basins are cleared as storm arrives
Twelve of the 30 key debris basins protecting mountainside communities were 100 percent cleared this morning as a new storm bore down on the Southland.

In yet another budget saving measure, the City of Los Angeles, is NOT cleaning 18 of the 30 debris basins that would prevent the hillsides from sliding down and destroying homes owned by residents of Los Angeles. Instead of cleaning the debris basins (which is expensive and time consuming), the city has decided to revamp the threat levels associated with mud slides and destruction of private property. Evidently a warning of impending doom is more than adequate to the ungrateful tax payers of the city.

Seems like a win-win situation to me. The City of Los Angeles can complain they don't get enough money to do what is necessary to provide adequate services. The City of Los Angeles can also sit back and laugh at the residents stupid enough to believe the that millions of dollars siphoned out of the wallets of the residents will be spent wisely or will ever be enough to meet the demands of the elite ruling class of the City of Los Angeles.
