Three films that would make Einstein blush
An American physicist is calling for Hollywood producers to tone down the fanciful science in movies - and restrict themselves to just one scientific flaw per film. But which are the worst offenders when it comes to bad science films?
Is "An Inconvenient Truth" one of the movies the American physicist upset with? If not, we have a problem. The "scientist" who invented "Global Warming" is willing to admit that he might be wrong. He is even willing to admit we may be in a cooling period. Many "Global Warming" "scientists" believe that using non-scientific data, and then exaggerating the results is perfectly acceptable. How is that different from movies where non-scientific data is exaggerated for effect?
Many movies are truth impaired. But does it matter? Most movies are not documentaries. They area not trying to teach. They are simply trying to tell a story. They are exaggerating for effect.
Everybody knows that every word out of the mouths of every politician and government employee is a lie. There are no warning labels on politician and government employees. The mass media acts as if the politicians and government employees all tell the truth. Is this harming our country and the world?
