SF stops benefits bamboozle
The City is rooting out those who should not be receiving health benefits — in one case even someone who died 16 years ago — and the savings so far represent $30,000 a month.
Like every other city, and every other state in this country, the city of San Francisco is looking for ways to increase revenue, and decrease payouts.
One of the ways the City of San Francisco has figured out to decrease payouts, is to stop paying for health benefits for people who have been dead for more than 15 years. I think San Francisco is unfairly picking on a minority that is unable to speak up for themselves. While there are more dead people than living people, the number of dead people who worked for the city is a minority of the total number of dead people in San Francisco. And if anybody needs health benefits, the dead probably need health benefits more than most people. After all, if the dead get injured, they don't heal. Since I know San Francisco doesn't want to offend any minority group, I hope that they will shortly reverse their position, and continue paying health benefits for the dead. What better way for the city to show they care about former government employees. And besides, I am sure the dead people are probably working as hard as many of the living people,
98% of all the people who've ever been born are already dead. Chances are, you're dead.
