Economy forces states to reduce Medicaid spending
Medicaid enrollment climbs
Monthly enrollment in Medicaid, the government program that provides health insurance for the poor, hit almost 47 million in June 2009, an increase of 7.5% from a year earlier. For the first time since the early 1990s, enrollment grew in every state.
Barack Hussein Obama's wish for universal health care is approaching.
Barack Hussein Obama's war on capitalism seems to be the main component working towards universal health care. The economy keeps getting worse. As businesses are forced to close, employees are terminated. As the economy worsens, businesses (not governments) either have to reduce salaries of staff, or close the doors of the business. Thus unemployment continues to climb, and salaries (for everyone except politicians) continues to drop. Which means people are less able to afford normal insurance. Which means that more people are eligible for Medicaid.
Of course Medicaid will never become universal, as most politicians are smart enough to exempt themselves from Medicaid and provide themselves with the Cadillac insurance policies they are denying the rest of the public.
