Report: E-Verify misses half of illegal workers
The online tool E-Verify, now used voluntarily by employers, wrongly clears illegal workers about 54 percent of the time, according to Westat, a research company that evaluated the system for the Homeland Security Department. E-Verify missed so many illegal workers mainly because it can't detect identity fraud, Westat said.
In other works, flipping a coin will get you better results than depending on the federal government to supply the correct information.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano claims that using government math (lies), their system is much more effective than independent testing reveals.
The Obama administration has made cracking down on employers who hire people here illegally a central part of its immigration enforcement policy, and there are expectations that some Republicans in Congress will try in coming weeks to make E-Verify mandatory.
The federal government is planning on punishing employers who hire an illegal worker. The government is providing a tool to determine status of illegal worker. The tool is wrong more often than it is right. Which means that the individual employer will be responsible for the mistakes the government makes. All just a part of the federal government's war on capitalism.
Westat, a research company has determined that even though the current system is wrong 54% of the time, it is more accurate than the old system.
Now doesn't that make you feel proud of the way the (federal) government works? Aren't you glad this is the level of competence you can expect from the (federal) government when performing any service for the public?
