Health care: A 'goldmine' for fraudsters

The estimated cost of the medicare system is $450 billion. An estimated $100 billion per year is lost to health care fraud. Over 20%, 1/5 of the money spent for health care is lost to waste and fraud.

Medical identity theft and the medical over-billing industry is growing faster than the generic identity theft. I guess this means that the government doesn't care if you steal from them. The government only cares if you don't pay your unfair share of taxes to cover up the shortfall caused by medicare fraud.

In preparation for the new Health Care Deform bill Barack Hussein Obama has set a five-year deadline for all Americans to have electronic medical records. This will work to the benefit of the Health Care Fraudsters as it will make it much easier to steal a persons medical records and thus their identity.

At least some industries (fraudsters) will benefit from the new Health Care Deform bill excreting itself from the bowels of the legislature.
