Calif. Watchdog: Historic Reviews Slow Stimulus
The federal government claims they have saved the economy. Meanwhile homelessness and joblessness increase. And are expected to increase for a year or two.
California seems to be using the same tactics. California has been awarded $50 billion in stimulus / bailout money. Fortunately, one of the departments that oversees new construction is understaffed. Which means that none of the construction projects is likely to start any time soon.
Which means, that like the federal government which can have an improved economy without job recovery for a few years, now California can claim they are doing all they can and the populace should watch for an improvement in the economy in a few years.
Don't you just love the way the government works?
