Report shows IRS has 'unacceptable' customer service
The Infernal Revenue Service plans on NOT answering 3 out of 10 phone calls this year. But keep in mind, that this is a goal. They may not actually do anything to accomplish this goal. And remember, 3 out of 10 would be an improvement because in 2008 the I.R.S. only answered 5 out of 10 phone calls.
The Infernal Revenue Service is supposed to collect taxes. Yet in a 2008 report to congress, the I.R.S. restated downward the prior three years collection totals by $32 billion, which is about 27% of their collections. They had no explanation. Other than double counting. Which is common in other departments in the federal government (like jobs saved, home foreclosures stopped, cost savings from Health Care Deform, ...). Of course, no one who expects to survive in a government job will state the real reasons (incompetence and carelessness) why the numbers were so far off.
Over the last 10 years, the amount of tax liens issued by the Infernal Revenue Service has increased more than 475%. This generated a decrease in actual collections by about 7.5%. Do you think that maybe they are doing something wrong? Once again, since there is no reason to actually do their job with positive results, they go about doing their job with negative results.
Please keep in mind that one of the three biggest lies of all time is considered to be:
I'm From The Government And I'm Here To Help.
