IRS Wants Paid Preparers To Stop Making Mistakes. IRS Has A Monopoly On Mistakes.

IRS gears up to step up oversight of tax preparers

After decades of making the tax law more and more convoluted, the Infernal Revenue Service (I.R.S.) has finally decided that they need to regulate everyone who touches a tax return form. If it is possible to understand how to prepare a tax return, then more exemptions and more rules and regulations need to be added. The federal government and the Infernal Revenue Service won't be happy until it is impossible to prepare a tax return without breaking one of the many contradictory rules and regulations.

The government and the Infernal Revenue Service want you to review your return to make sure it is prepared correctly. Duh. If the average citizen could figure out how to prepare a return, there would be no need for paid preparers. The government and the Infernal Revenue Service claim they have studies that show many paid preparers make mistakes while preparing the returns. Funny. I haven't noticed any recent studies that show how frequently the Infernal Revenue Service makes mistake when offering advice to the people calling with questions.
