Alleged Underwear Bomber Due in Detroit Court
I love the fact that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who allegedly is a terrorist, and who allegedly wore a bomb onto an American airplane, and who allegedly burned himself in the process, will be tried as a common criminal in the American courts.
After all, he didn't actually hurt anyone.
Allegedly he hurt himself.
I think Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab should sue the airline and blame the airline for unsafe equipment that caused him to burn. He was on an airplane. He did catch on fire. Isn't that the airlines fault? Maybe he should claim he didn't have a bomb at all.
Or maybe Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab can claim temporary insanity. He didn't know what he was doing. He was unduly influenced by strange people. Maybe anyone that is a Muslim can't possibly be sane.
Or maybe Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab can use the O.J.Simpson defense. If the underwear does not fit, you must acquit. If O.J.Simpson could get away with murder, why shouldn't an incompetent bomber, get away with not hurting anyone?
