Students Honored For Ability To Tie Shoelaces.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/01/education/01honors.html
As Honor Students Multiply, Who Really Is One?

As part of the edutainment system policy of "No Moron Left Behind", students are now forced to graduate if the have managed to attend some of the classes they signed up for. As part of the "No Moron Left Behind" policy, it is insensitive to point out to the morons they are less bright than people who are smarter than them.

The National Honor Society is based on a strict and high grade point average.

For all the morons who were not good enough, or didn't attend class frequently enough, the schools are now scrambling to create honor societies. These new honor societies are much less strict about grades. Unfortunately, when the schools instituted the new honor societies, they didn't think about the results of looser grade standards for the non-morons. So what is happening, is that the smarter students now belong to every honor society on campus. Maybe the edutainment system will figure this out and create specific honor societies that have a maximum grade point average to exclude the smarter students. Or maybe the edutainment system will figure out some way to reward behavior that the smarter students consider unacceptable. Like getting the most girls pregnant, or stealing the highest dollar value item, or ... which are all valuable skill the morons will require on their passage through life.
