ACORN to formally disband
Funding dried up after a widely disseminated YouTube video last September that showed ACORN workers giving advice on how to flout the law to two conservative activists who posed as a pimp and a prostitute. A separate embezzlement scandal also damaged the group's credibility.
In an effort to avoid the bad press and criminal charges that it so richly deserves, A.C.O.R.N. is planning to close down operations. Or at least pretend to close down operations. However, what they were doing was so lucrative (registering dead people to vote, giving tax advice to criminals, ...), that the leaders and main embezzlers don't want to stop. So they are planning on doing what any good liberal democrat would do. They will shut down under their current name. Then start up with a new name pretending to be a different organization.
Who knows? With the band of cutthroats and thugs currently ruining the U.S.S.A. the new improved A.C.O.R.N. may be on the right track.
