California state employees are reacting bitterly to pay raises given to the staff of new Assembly Speaker John Perez.

Only California State Employees?

Every Californian who is unemployed by the collapse of the economy is outraged by this. Every Californian who is paying higher taxes to help the State of California meet their budgets are outraged. Everybody except politicians is outraged by this show of contempt for the taxpaying public.

Fortunately for the California politicians (and politicians everywhere), they are not answerable to anyone. So their contempt and disdain for the pubic can be displayed with impunity.
