Crime lab fallout: Drug defendants go free
His was one of 25 drug cases dismissed at the Hall of Justice because of questions surrounding the police crime lab and a former technician there who is suspected of stealing and using drug evidence.

Who will watch the watchers?

Deborah Madden, the criminologist who was working in the drug lab was having a high old time testing drugs the old fashioned way. With her tongue, her nose and with her syringe.

Unfortunately this kind of testing is not acceptable in a court of law. Or in a drug rehabilitation center where the former criminologist is now working. At trying to get rehabilitated from drug use.

25 drug cases were just dismissed because of her behavior.

Fortunately for former criminalist Deborah Madden, the police are investigating this. So far no charges have been filed, and former criminalist Deborah Madden expects to get her full pension for retiring after performing her job so well.
