Neglected by 'lazy' nurses, man, 22, dying of thirst rang the police to beg for water
A man of 22 died in agony of dehydration after three days in a leading teaching hospital.
Why is Barack Hussein Obama denying putting death squads in the new Health Care Deform Bill? Just because you don't call it a death squad, doesn't mean it isn't a death squad. But what else would you call it when a man goes into a hospital, and three days later he is dead of dehydration because no one on staff (doctors, nurses, orderlys, ...) gave him a drink of water?
Aren't you glad that Barack Hussein Obama is bringing socialized health care to the United States?
Here is the real problem: due to cutbacks, there are fewer nurses and other hospital support personnel. But they work longer hours, since there are more patients now than ever, and the same amount of work still has to get done for each one. This also means nurses don't have time to actually tend to every patient as well as they should, plus they are overly tired from routinely working overtime shifts, and then things like this happen.
ReplyDeleteThe irony is that the resulting overtime pay is more expensive than it would have been to just keep more staff in the first place.
Aren't you glad your health care is in the hands of someone who could be at the end of a 12 hour shift, or in the case of young interns, perhaps as much as a 24 hour shift? We all perform our best after more than 8 hours on the job, right??
Now, imagine that scenario enhanced by government "efficiency"!!
