What Me Retire?

http://money.cnn.com/2010/03/09/pf/retirement_confidence/index.htm
43% have less than $10k for retirement
The percentage of workers who said they have less than $10,000 in savings grew to 43% in 2010, from 39% in 2009, according to the Employee Benefit Research Institute's annual Retirement Confidence Survey.

It looks like people are starting to fall for Barack Hussein Obama's socialist vision for the American economy.

Socialist believe that private property and private ownership is bad. Therefore if you own anything you are bad. Therefore anything you own must be stolen from you and given to anyone who is worse off than you (and doesn't want to work for it). This is what the socialist call share the wealth (but becomes share the poverty one people realize there is no point in working since you can do just as well by not working). In which case, there is no point in saving for retirement (or saving for a rainy day), as the government will only steal it from you to give to someone else. So it makes sense that more and more people are no longer saving for retirement. Even if you do save for retirement, there is no reason to expect you will ever collect on the retirement plan you have worked for.

After all, other third world countries like Argentina have confiscated private retirement plans for the good of the country. With the socialist-in-chief working hard to socialize the United States, there is no reason NOT to expect the United States to act differently than any other socialist third world country.
