Pasadena to explore possibility of citywide smoking ban
Aren't you glad we live in a country which allows us as much freedom as the government wants to give us? We have the freedom to NOT defend ourselves. We have the freedom to NOT own guns. We have the freedom to NOT practice religious rituals if it involves peyote or other substances the government makes us free to NOT use. We have the freedom to NOT have certain kinds of consensual sex if our partner wants to. The City Of Pasadena is now considering giving us the freedom to NOT smoke in our own homes. With obesity becoming a nationwide health problem we may soon have the freedom to NOT eat any products with sugar.
I am looking forward to the day when the smoking police, or the sugar police, or the politically incorrect police need to enter the home I have the freedom to lose if I can't afford the taxes the government thinks is appropriate.
