The State of Oklahoma should be proud of themselves. Through their Department of Human Services, they have managed to unload a budding serial killer on an unsuspecting couple, and claim it is no longer the state's problem.

What exactly happened?

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services is supposed to care for children that parents can't care for. They Department of Human Services is supposed to observe the condition of the child, and let prospective adoptive parents know what they are getting.

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services are either liars, or incompetent. The 8 year old child this couple was hoodwinked into adopting was described as well-behaved while in the foster care system. However, it didn't take too long after the adoption for the child to start behaving violently towards other childen, killing animals and running away. Shortly after trying to kill his adoptive parents, the 8 year old child was institutionalized.

While institutionalized, the child was described as having reactive detachment disorder, disruptive behavior disorder, major depressive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder and fetal alcohol syndrome.

How does an institution that is supposed to care for children, not notice something this major? Corruption? Incompetence? Criminal Neglect?

In any case, the child will soon be released from the mental institution where he has been under observation. The adoptive parents don't want the child back. They are afraid for their lives.

The states attitude is: we conned you into adopting the child, it is your problem. In fact, if you don't take the child back, we will throw you in jail.

Interesting predicament. Take the child back, and possibly be killed by the child or go to jail for a couple of years. Which would you choose?
