California population growth slowest in more than a decade
California's anti-business, anti-economy strategy is finally paying off. The population growth is slowing down. In spite of having the best weather in the country.
What happens when you increase taxes on people and businesses with money and jobs? When the taxes are high enough, people and businesses will flee to a state with lower taxes. Well, this California policy seems to be working very well. Massive numbers of economically stable people and business are fleeing the state.
Why is the population not shrinking as much as expected?
When you offer welfare to anyone who can prove that they managed to get into this state, then you will get a massive influx of people. What is happening is that all the economically secure people are being replaced by the illegal aliens (looking for welfare), and by the unemployed (looking for more comfortable settings for living outdoors).
San Francisco wants to be a sanctuary city for illegal aliens. California wants to be a sanctuary state for illegal aliens. As long as the few remaining people with jobs don't mind paying for welfare for the rest of the residents in this state, California doesn't need to worry about a shrinking population.
California will only need to worry about who they can tax when the only people left are the illegal aliens and the jobless.
