Government Encourages Unwed Pregnancies

http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/12/15/sex.report/
Gaps found in young people's sex knowledge

Some of you may ask, how I can come with the title of this rant based on reading the story I linked to?

Follow my illogic. If you can.

If the government (or heaven forbid, parents) provided birth control devices for men and women and extensive knowledge, then I would think they are doing their best to prevent unwed pregnancies.

However, that is not the case.

As the story I linked to makes clear, the government (and parents) provide inadequate or wrong or no information about birth control.

Why?

How many politicians have been stopped from taking bribes and having sex with interns and hookers because someone told them not to, and that it is bad? Well, if "just say no" doesn't work for politicians, why should it work for anyone else?

Therefore, we know "just say no" doesn't work.

Therefore, since the government and parents continue to use education methods that they know doesn't work, then they must want unwed pregnancies. Otherwise, they would switch from methods that don't work, and haven't worked for centuries, to something that might work.
