Fannie, Freddie chiefs to get Wall Street-style compensation packages
The top executives of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are about to be rewarded for overseeing the destruction of the home mortgage industry and banking industry. The banking industry is in shambles. Hundreds of banks are bankrupt and closing. Millions of people are losing their homes. Millions of businesses are closing. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are now under government control, and are costing the taxpayers billions of dollars.
What is the reward for helping cause the great depression the United States is now in the middle of (with no recovoery in sight)? After years of incompetence, or maybe corruption, but more likely both, the head regulators of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac finally get their just reward. Not jail time. But bonuses that the wall street executives could be proud of.
Aren't you glad the government is looking out for your interests!
