Chinese dissident's jailing draws international anger

Actually, the article states that there was international anger.

The funny thing is, either international praise or international protest, have the same effect.

Nothing.

So why do they bother?

It is also interesting to see what other countries are quoted as being upset.

The United States is upset? Why? The United States is in the midst of switching from a democratic country into a communist country. Which means that shortly the United States will be applauding China's actions. I am sure the tyrant-in-chief is already building his enemy list so that he will be ready when he gets his Christmas wish to be the president for life of a communist country.

Also.

The United Nations is made up of a number of communist country and third world dictatorships that don't believe in citizens rights. They may not even have a phrase in their language for citizens rights. In fact, if the U.N. held a poll of their member nations, I am sure a number of member nations would praise China for the quick and decisive action in protecting the elite who are in power and running that country.

Mao Zedong, when he was alive and ruled China, killed tens of millions of the people he ruled over. How much effect did international anger have on his regime's killing spree? NOTHING!

Joseph Stalin, when he was alive and ruled Russia, killed tens of millions of the people he ruled over. How much effect did international anger have on his regime's killing spree? NOTHING!

So why do any of these countries even bother issuing a press release?

To hoodwink their own citizens into believing that the government cares?

To prepare their own citizens for when their own government will turn on them? So their citizens will see how much international anger will do to save them?
