GMAC said to be seeking more U.S. assistance

GMAC, which has already received $13.5 billion in bailout money, is requesting another $3 to $4 billion dollars. They think with the additional money, they may be able to be profitable next year.

However, they could be wrong, and they might need another $3 or $4 billion in another 3 or 4 months.

Government Motors (GM) and Chrysler Group both claim they need GMAC to finance the sales of new vehicles.

However, thanks to the recent cash for clunkers program, everyone who could afford a vehicle bought one, so there is no one left who will be able to buy any vehicles for the next few years.

Aren't you glad you worked hard and saved so that the government could take your money and give it to businesses that don't?
