State funds to curb teen smoking cut 28%
Have you ever wondered why the Federal and State government pretend to be against smoking? Why do you think the government continues to allow hundreds of thousands of deaths annually from smoking? Could it be because all the politicians continuously accept large bribes to keep it legal? Could it be because the government makes so much money off the specialized taxes they hate to stop?
Well it certainly can't be because it is more moral to let people die of a known carcinogen that to try to prevent it.
Since it appears that money is more important than morals, I think I have the perfect solution.
Let's legalize drugs. Because of our history with smoking, we know the government doesn't mind 400,000+ annual deaths. We know that illegal drugs cause much less deaths. So why not legalize drugs? We can charge the same or more in taxes than we do for cigarettes . We can save money not needed for law enforcement and prisons.
How about another modest proposal. Let's legalize prostitution. If we regulate it, we can tax it, we can monitor it, and we can then minimize the health issues associated with it. We can save money not needed for law enforcement and prisons.
Just think of the money that can be saved if we no longer need to run sting operations to catch politicians as they take drugs and hookers as part of their regular bribes.
