FSSA unveils new welfare system
What makes a good Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA)?
- bad customer service
- subpar timeliness
- high error rates in the way it determines eligibility
For the 12 years from 1990 Indiana was fined 8 times by the federal government for its failures.
More recently:
- 35% of the Medicaid long-term care applications (FFY 2003) contained errors
- 25% of the TANF applications (FFY 2006) approved by FSSA contained errors
- in 2005, FSSA paid recipients $33.9 million more than they were entitled
- 15 FSSA employees, along with 21 of their co-conspirators were convicted of welfare fraud
It must be a good thing that it is a government agency that is supporting and encouraging all this corruption and incompetence. It would be a crime if a private business did this. But no private business could survive that long if it was that incompetent and that poorly run.
Just a reminder that one of the three biggest lies of all time is:
I'm From The Government And I'm Here To Help.
